Having worked in his older brother’s orthodontic office for years when he was growing up, Dr. Thomas planned to be an orthodontist at an early age and wanted to receive the best education that was offered. Dr. Thomas began his training at the University of Florida where he received his college education and Bachelor of Science Diploma. He then received his dental education at the Medical University of South Carolina where he won the American Association of Orthodontists student award and the Hinman Award for Research. He advanced his dental education by completing a one year general dentistry residency at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his orthodontic training and Masters in Science Degree at the University of Detroit Mercy where he learned the most advanced techniques and was educated by one of the leaders in modern orthodontics, Dr. Ronald H. Roth. Dr. Thomas was one of the first local orthodontists to become
Invisalign certified so he could offer the
Invisalign treatment for his patients.
He has been bringing beautiful smiles to the Tampa Bay area since
1998.
What’s more, Dr. Thomas is Board Certified Orthodontist with the American Board of Orthodontics and has published articles in two orthodontic journals ( Research Article 1 Research Article 2 ). In addition to his excellent schooling and experience, he remains committed to continuing education by spending two to three weeks per year advancing his knowledge of the most modern treatments available.
